ABOUT

Clarice

Clarice is a Swiss singer and songwriter based in Zürich. The artist worked with different bands occasionally for gigs in Switzerland. She joined a Swiss rock band as lead vocalist and started to write her own songs with the band members. After 2 years of rehearsing and writing, the singer realised she would not get any further with the band from an artistic point of view. So she sent a few demos to a producer in 2010 and decided to release her first solo album. An indie record label signed Clarice for her debut album. Being a perfectionist, she worked on her songs for 2 years and took on her stage name “Clarice” as this used to be her nickname in her twenties.

Clarice gained international recognition in 2013 with her debut album “The Words of a Love Song” when radio stations in Switzerland, Great Britain, Australia, New Zealand and the USA began playing her tracks. Clarice continued her success with tours in London – her second home – and the establishment of contacts in the London music scene.

In 2014, the singer recorded a few cover songs in a studio back home in Switzerland when a Swiss artist management company discovered her talent. 36zwei Entertainment signed Clarice in summer 2014 and took the time to develop the artist. Her first single with the new team “Can’t Get Over You” was recorded with London producer Tristan Ivemy (who worked with The Holloways, Frank Turner and Alex Clare – just to name a few) and was released in April 2015. The track is now being played on radio stations in Switzerland, Germany and the UK.

After working with 36zwei Entertainment for more than a year, Clarice realised she would have to take up the reins and terminated all management and booking contracts.

The singer and songwriter has written new material and released new songs. She has taken a little break from gigging, concentrating on exploring new sounds.

"I always feel what I sing. This is why song lyrics are so important".
